About us

About us

The Media Development Foundation, the MDF, was established in April 2008 by a group of professional journalists.

The MDF is set to protect freedom of speech and expression; advocate for human rights;  to debunk disinformation and promote media literacy; promote ethical journalism, media accountability and transparency, diverse media reporting, gender equality and inclusive society; encourage youth initiatives and civil activism.

The Media Development Foundation conducts research and educational activities, including fact-checking of disinformation and media literacy programs. MDF is involved in advocacy; organizes trainings, meetings, public discussions, creative competitions; publishes educational and professional literature; produces media products and holds educational campaigns; mobilizes youth for their involvement in civil and educational activities.

MDF was named as Supporter of Tolerance for 2014 by Religious Council of the Public Defender Office.
