The main priority of Media Development Foundation is to protect one of the most fundamental rights – freedom of speech and expression. To this end, the organization is engaged in public awareness raising, research and monitoring activities and protection of rights of citizens and journalists.
Ethical and professional standards
Social responsibility of media and its accountability to publicimplies interdependence of rights and responsibilities. The MDF is actively engaged in the development of professional mediathrough promotingethical standards, establishing self-regulation mechanisms,conducting educational campaigns, researches, advocating for the rights of consumers and initiating public discussions.
Pursuant to Article 14 of the Law of Georgia on Broadcasting and the Code of Conduct of Broadcasters adopted by the Georgian National Communication Commission (GNCC) in 2009, broadcasters are obliged to establish an efficient complaints mechanism to considercustomers’ complaints.
If you believe that a broadcaster has breached the Code of Conduct, please, apply by filling out the provided questionnaire and the Media Development Foundation, MDF, will submit your complaint to a relevant broadcaster's self-regulation body.
