Self-regulation

Pursuant to Article 14 of the Law of Georgia on Broadcasting and the Code of Conduct of Broadcasters adopted by the Georgian National Communication Commission (GNCC) in 2009, broadcasters are obliged to establish an efficient complains mechanism for considering customers’ complaints.

If  a broadcaster breaches the Code of Conduct, apply to us through filling out a provided questionnaire and the Media Development Foundation, MDF will present your complaint in a broadcaster's self-regulation body.

Activities

Media Literate Schools for a Resilient Georgian Society

Donor: NATO PUBLIC DIPLOMACY DIVISION

Budget: 14010 EUR (8000 NATO, 6010 MDF)

Period: April - December 2022


The Media Development Foundation (MDF) in partnership with The Critical Mass and with the financial support of the NATO Public Diplomacy Division has launched the project "Media Literate Schools for a Resilient Georgian Society.”

The project aims at to strengthening the societal resilience  by promoting critical thinking  and developing media literacy competencies  in public schools. The project envisages building capacity of schools by training teachers and providing them with teaching resources. Within the framework of the project, trainings will be conducted  in Tbilisi and 7 cities of Georgia - Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Akhaltsikhe, Batumi, Zugdidi, Gori, and Telavi.

In order to generate new ideas in the field of media literacy and stimulate schools, at the final stage of the project, it is planned to hold a competition to reveal the most media literate school and the most  innovative project.
