The Media Development Foundation (MDF), in collaboration with Maldita.es, is implementing the project "Technological Capacity Building for Eastern Europe, Eurasian and Latin American Fact-checking Organizations to Fight Cross-regional and Global Disinformation on Private Messaging Apps.”  This initiative brings together seven different fact-checking organizations from three European countries (Georgia, Ukraine, and Lithuania) and four Latin American countries (Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, and Mexico), as MDF joins forces to study and analyze disinformation campaigns that cross borders.

This collaborative project aims to enhance technological capabilities within messaging applications for the detection, analysis, and classification of disinformation. Simultaneously, it facilitates interconnection with other organizations to identify and analyze cross-border disinformation campaigns as well as their evolution and transformation.

Within the framework of the program, MDF, together with partner organizations, will publish a series of investigations showcasing the results obtained. This collaborative effort will enable the enhancement of strategies to effectively combat disinformation.
