Self-regulation

Pursuant to Article 14 of the Law of Georgia on Broadcasting and the Code of Conduct of Broadcasters adopted by the Georgian National Communication Commission (GNCC) in 2009, broadcasters are obliged to establish an efficient complains mechanism for considering customers’ complaints.

If  a broadcaster breaches the Code of Conduct, apply to us through filling out a provided questionnaire and the Media Development Foundation, MDF will present your complaint in a broadcaster's self-regulation body.

Women from the Past – Example for the Future

With the financial support of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, UNESCO, and Georgian National Commission for UNESCO, the Media Development Foundation, MDF implements the project Women of the Past - Example for the Future

The aim of the project is to inform society about female public figures of various epochs and popularize their activity; to promote gender equality based on historical examples. 

In this regard, a valuable source of information is the Georgian media of the 19th and  20th centuries. Within the framework of the project people will be able to learn what Georgian press wrote about women and hear unique audio recordings protected in the National Archives of Georgia.

 The project includes issuing a publication of historical study Women from the Past, as well as brochure GenderMediator aimed at assisting students and acting journalists and developing web portal www.gendermediator.ge. 

The project is implemented in partnership with the National Archives of Georgia.
