Self-regulation

Pursuant to Article 14 of the Law of Georgia on Broadcasting and the Code of Conduct of Broadcasters adopted by the Georgian National Communication Commission (GNCC) in 2009, broadcasters are obliged to establish an efficient complains mechanism for considering customers’ complaints.

If  a broadcaster breaches the Code of Conduct, apply to us through filling out a provided questionnaire and the Media Development Foundation, MDF will present your complaint in a broadcaster's self-regulation body.

Professional Detector of Media: Facts and Myths about EU

Media Development Foundation implements the project "Professional Detector of Media: Facts and Myths about EU" from May 1. 

The goal of the project is to provide society with qualified information about Euro-integration process and European values; to respond on misinformation disseminated either by media or via media regarding integration process by providing alternative source of information.

This platform will allow society as well as representatives of media to access qualified researches vs. misinformation spread in public via various sources. 

To achieve this goal the following activities are envisaged within the framework of the project:

• Media monitoring;

Myth Detector - researches on various thematic issues.

• Web-portal Myth Detector and Facebook page - Myths Detector;

• Information-sharing meetings with the media;

• Report.
