Self-regulation

Pursuant to Article 14 of the Law of Georgia on Broadcasting and the Code of Conduct of Broadcasters adopted by the Georgian National Communication Commission (GNCC) in 2009, broadcasters are obliged to establish an efficient complains mechanism for considering customers’ complaints.

If  a broadcaster breaches the Code of Conduct, apply to us through filling out a provided questionnaire and the Media Development Foundation, MDF will present your complaint in a broadcaster's self-regulation body.

Activities

Research on Needs and Information Sources of Muslim Youth Community

Media Development Foundation, within the Hedaya program, is implementing the project "Research on Needs and Information Sources of Muslim Youth Community". The aim of the project is to identify the needs of Georgia's Muslim youth community and available sources of information.

Project will be implemented in 3 phases:

The first phase includes face-to-face survey, which will be conducted in Muslim youth community in order to identify their needs and sources of information and communication. The second phase will be dedicated to monitoring of those media outlets, which will be revealed as a result of the survey. The final phase includes work in focus groups and elaboration guideline for media outlets how to cover Muslim community issues.
