Self-regulation

Pursuant to Article 14 of the Law of Georgia on Broadcasting and the Code of Conduct of Broadcasters adopted by the Georgian National Communication Commission (GNCC) in 2009, broadcasters are obliged to establish an efficient complains mechanism for considering customers’ complaints.

If  a broadcaster breaches the Code of Conduct, apply to us through filling out a provided questionnaire and the Media Development Foundation, MDF will present your complaint in a broadcaster's self-regulation body.

Combating COVID-19 Disinformation beyond Occupation Line

The aim of the project is to identify sources and messages of COVID-19 related disinformation and contribute to resilience building of society beyond occupied lines.
In the framework of the project it is planned to create a health web-edition to the fact- checking web portal Myth detector providing facts and scientific evidence based media content including scientific and health related blogs. Resources elaborated within the project will be translated in Russian language. With the support of the project partner organization IWPR, information will be disseminated in the occupied territories via their communication platforms. Based on the trends revealed within the conducted research, a final report will be elaborated that will support policy makers in planning and conduction strategic communications.
