Self-regulation

Pursuant to Article 14 of the Law of Georgia on Broadcasting and the Code of Conduct of Broadcasters adopted by the Georgian National Communication Commission (GNCC) in 2009, broadcasters are obliged to establish an efficient complains mechanism for considering customers’ complaints.

If  a broadcaster breaches the Code of Conduct, apply to us through filling out a provided questionnaire and the Media Development Foundation, MDF will present your complaint in a broadcaster's self-regulation body.

The aim of the project is to generate new innovative technological ideas to detect and fight malign information operations and fake content. 
The project envisages organizing a global hackathon for developers, graphic designers, media literacy specialists, and others who are passionate about digital technologies from all over the globe to hack the fake news. During the 2 day-event groups of 2-6 participants will be working together with mentors to design innovative tech solutions (games, apps, chatbot, etc.) aiming to identify, expose and analyze misinformation and disinformation and other malign information operations. The hackathon envisages training opportunities from MDF’s partners from Bellingcat and Facebook. The media partners of the hackathon are On.ge and Civil.ge
