Self-regulation

Pursuant to Article 14 of the Law of Georgia on Broadcasting and the Code of Conduct of Broadcasters adopted by the Georgian National Communication Commission (GNCC) in 2009, broadcasters are obliged to establish an efficient complains mechanism for considering customers’ complaints.

If  a broadcaster breaches the Code of Conduct, apply to us through filling out a provided questionnaire and the Media Development Foundation, MDF will present your complaint in a broadcaster's self-regulation body.

Training on Gender Issues in Media Organized by MDF and Supported by UNESCO

Media Development Foundation (MDF) hosted the training on Gender Issues in Media for students and journalists, including from regional media on September 21.

Following topics were discussed by MDF’s expert and invited guests with students and acting journalists at the event supported by UNESCO: local and international regulation of media coverage of gender issues, including gender-sensitive indicators developed by UNESCO; historical research of gender themes; feminism; international instruments of gender-related issues.

Within the framework of the Project "Women of the Past – Example for the Future”, supported by UNESCO, MDF plans historical research on gender in the media of 19th, 20th and 21th centuries and promotion of the research findings.
