Self-regulation

Pursuant to Article 14 of the Law of Georgia on Broadcasting and the Code of Conduct of Broadcasters adopted by the Georgian National Communication Commission (GNCC) in 2009, broadcasters are obliged to establish an efficient complains mechanism for considering customers’ complaints.

If  a broadcaster breaches the Code of Conduct, apply to us through filling out a provided questionnaire and the Media Development Foundation, MDF will present your complaint in a broadcaster's self-regulation body.

Court Covering by Georgian Media

How are covered law issues by Georgian media, whether journalists have an appropriate knowledge of covering legal issues or not and what is the level of presumption of innocence protection? – These are the topics discussed in media monitoring implemented by the journalist - Eliso Chapidze. The objects of observation for the period of one month were further weekly newspapers:Asaval-dasavali, QronikadaKviris Palitra, and prime-time news programs of five TV channels.

The research is being implemented within the frames of the project –Media Monitoring – for Professional MediabyMedia Development Foundation, MDF, supported by the foundationOpen Society – Georgia Foundation, OSGF.
