Self-regulation

Pursuant to Article 14 of the Law of Georgia on Broadcasting and the Code of Conduct of Broadcasters adopted by the Georgian National Communication Commission (GNCC) in 2009, broadcasters are obliged to establish an efficient complains mechanism for considering customers’ complaints.

If  a broadcaster breaches the Code of Conduct, apply to us through filling out a provided questionnaire and the Media Development Foundation, MDF will present your complaint in a broadcaster's self-regulation body.

Media development Foundation became a member of the East Partnership National Platform

Media Development Foundation, MDF became a member of the East Partnership Georgian National Platform.

 

 

The functions of the national platform:


1) The assistance of the ongoing process of theme platforms and special initiatives of the East Partnership in Georgia;
2) Introducing Georgian civil society interests on the forum of the East Partnership and assisting the activities of the forum.

 


The civil society forum was founded in 2009 within the frames of the initiative of The East Partnership of European Union. The members of the forum are representatives of civil society organizations from Georgia, Azerbaijan, Byelorussian, Moldavia, Armenia and Ukraine; from the European Union member countries; as well as the representatives of international non-governmental organizations.

The national platform was made in each country for coordination of civil society forum. The national platform should assist the East Partnership within the frames of multilateral (European Union – participant countries of the partnership and relations between these countries) dimension of ongoing partnership, as well as in bilateral (European Union – Georgia).


The members of the national platform are local and international non-governmental organizations working in partner country; among them are professional unions.
