Self-regulation

Pursuant to Article 14 of the Law of Georgia on Broadcasting and the Code of Conduct of Broadcasters adopted by the Georgian National Communication Commission (GNCC) in 2009, broadcasters are obliged to establish an efficient complains mechanism for considering customers’ complaints.

If  a broadcaster breaches the Code of Conduct, apply to us through filling out a provided questionnaire and the Media Development Foundation, MDF will present your complaint in a broadcaster's self-regulation body.

Diversity School Accepts Students

With the support of the Embassy of the Switzerland in Georgia, Media Development Foundation, MDF started implementation a new project Diversity School for non-Georgian Speaking Students. Within the framework of the project students enrolled under the quota system in Iv. Javakishvili Tbilisi State University and Ilia State University will undertake practical course in civil journalism; participate in thematic lectures and engage in discussions; produce media content and face book page "We See - We Care!"

 

Students will selected based on a letter of motivation (see competition announcement available in Georgian). Selected students will start study course on March 22 and will be conducted every Saturday.

 

At the end of the program the Jury  will reveal  authors of the 3 best media content and award them with the special prizes. In addition the first  place winner will undertake an  month internship in Radio Freedom /Radio Liberty.

 

The goal of the project is strengthening civic integration and participation and encourage civic activism in society.
