Women of the Past – Example for the Future

The aim of the project, "Women of the Past – Example for the Future,” is to better inform society about female public figures of various epochs and based on historical examples, to promote the gender equality and highlight a special role of media in this process. In this regard, the Georgian media of the 19th and 20th centuries represent a valuable source of information.

It provides the society with the opportunity to learn how the Georgian press covered activities of women and what women themselves wrote about pressing issues of their times; also to hear those unique audio recordings which are kept in Georgia’s national archive.
