Self-regulation

Pursuant to Article 14 of the Law of Georgia on Broadcasting and the Code of Conduct of Broadcasters adopted by the Georgian National Communication Commission (GNCC) in 2009, broadcasters are obliged to establish an efficient complains mechanism for considering customers’ complaints.

If  a broadcaster breaches the Code of Conduct, apply to us through filling out a provided questionnaire and the Media Development Foundation, MDF will present your complaint in a broadcaster's self-regulation body.

The training for “PS” journalists

The experts of Media Development Foundation Khatuna Kveselava, Qeti Mskhiladze and Tamar Khorbaladze arranged training for the journalists of Qutaisi newspaper "PS” editorial on the theme of journalistic ethic issues on August 2-3. The themes like journalistic sources, conflict of interests, covering the stories of children and minorities, the principals of covering criminal themes, international experience of media self-regulation, the examples of media self-regulation in Georgia and etc. were discussed during the training. The principals of editorial ethic code for the newspaper "PS” had been worked out during the training. 

The training was held within the frames of the project "ethic code for regional media”.The project is supported by the fund – "Open society – Georgia”.
